We design and develop SENAITE LIMS and provide modern and intuitive Open Source solutions to laboratories world wide.

Who we are & what we do

RIDING BYTES GmbH is based in Fürth (Bavaria) / Germany and was founded on July 2, 2015.

Ramon Bartl, the owner of the company, has a degree in Applied Computer Science, a Master of Business Administration and has many years of experience in open source web development.

We are the founders, one of the main core developers and maintainers of the SENAITE LIMS Open Source Project.

2015 - Founding of RIDING BYTES

Mission: Build professional Open Source Software for Laboratories.

2017 - Founding of SENAITE LIMS

Vision: Make SENAITE the de-facto standard LIMS for (freedom loving) Laboratories world wide.

2021 - SENAITE v2.0.0 Released

Strategy: Based on the latest versions of enterprise level Open Source Software, modern UI components built with cutting edge JS frameworks and splitting the codebase into separate modules, SENAITE has taken a big step forward.

2023 - to date

SENAITE is used by various labs around the world and is nearing the next major v3.0.0 release with the long-awaited Python 3 support.
