These Terms apply to all users of our website and to all purchases of virtual products, such as software modules, plugins, or other digital assets related to the SENAITE LIMS system, provided through our online shop.

3. Products and Licensing

Our products are intended to extend or customize the SENAITE LIMS, an open-source Laboratory Information Management System licensed under the GPLv2. By purchasing our virtual products, you agree to comply with the GPLv2 license terms and any additional licensing terms that may apply to specific products.

  • Virtual Products: All digital products offered on our website are provided “as is” without any express or implied warranties, unless stated otherwise.
  • License Terms: Our products are subject to the GNU General Public License v2 (GPLv2) and any additional license terms provided with the product. You are responsible for complying with the licensing terms.

4. User Obligations

  • You agree to use our website and products only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
  • You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our website, servers, or any data associated with our website.

To purchase virtual products, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.

6. Payment Terms

  • Pricing: All prices are listed in EUR and include VAT, if applicable.
  • Payment Methods: We accept the payment methods specified at checkout. Payments are processed securely via our payment provider.
  • Order Confirmation: After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation via email. The contract between you and RIDING BYTES GmbH is concluded upon our confirmation.

7. Right of Withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht)

  • Withdrawal Period: As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from a contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
  • Exclusion of Withdrawal: The right of withdrawal does not apply to digital products that are not supplied on a tangible medium if the download or access has started with your prior express consent and your acknowledgment that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal.
  • How to Withdraw: To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision to withdraw from the contract by sending an email to hello@ridingbytes.com.

8. Refund Policy

Refunds for digital products will only be provided if the product is found to be defective and we are unable to rectify the issue. Refund requests must be made within 14 days of purchase.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • We are liable for intent and gross negligence. For slight negligence, we are only liable for breach of a material contractual obligation (Kardinalpflicht), which means an obligation whose fulfillment is essential to the proper execution of the contract and on whose compliance the contractual partner regularly relies and may rely.
  • In the case of slight negligence, our liability is limited to foreseeable, typical contractual damages.
  • The above limitations do not apply to claims arising from death or personal injury.

10. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, trademarks, and other intellectual property on our website remain the property of RIDING BYTES GmbH or its licensors. You are not permitted to reproduce, distribute, or otherwise use our content without express permission.


11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms is Fürth, Germany.
